ABOUT

Amanda Bintz is a writer from Upstate New York who now calls Philadelphia home. She writes primarily speculative fiction, both sci-fi and fantasy, and nonfiction, including personal essays, articles, and reviews. Her work has been published in several acclaimed and popular literary magazines—see the Publications page for details.

Amanda began writing creatively around the age of 8 and completed her first novel, “Wolf Warrior,” when she was in the 4th grade. She is currently close to completing a second novel, a work of speculative children’s literature, that her 4th-grade self would have loved. She is also developing a historical fiction/fantasy novel about Alexander the Great’s half-sister, Thessalonike.
